Congratulations to all of my students who participated in NYSSMA solo festivals this year! With it being our first year back in person after the Covid related shutdowns, performing in person was a big change! Students playing solos from level 4 through level 6 received excellent scores, and I am so proud of their hard work.

Congratulations to Georganna Reiss (sophomore) and Clarissa Marwali (sophomore) on their successful auditions into the Shaker High School Wind Ensemble (Latham, NY)
Joy Jung (7th grade, Bethlehem Middle School, Delmar, NY), Kalin Kochneva (7th grade, Van Antwerp Middle School, Niskayuna, NY), and Jessica Zhang (8th grade, Iroquois Middle School, Niskayuna, NY) were all participants in the inaugural year of the Empire State Youth Orchestra's Woodwind and Brass Chamber Music program. Through weekly rehearsals, these talented young flutists were able to meet peers, work with great teachers, and challenge their musicianship skills.
