Jacqueline is currently available for private and small group flute lessons from her home in Schenectady, NY, at Niskayuna Reformed Church (Niskayuna, NY), at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (Delmar, NY), and in the greater Capital Region of the state, as well as southwestern Vermont and northwestern Massachusetts. With over 10 years of training as a pianist, Jacqueline is also happy to offer beginner and intermediate piano lessons. Jacqueline has experience working with students from age 7-70 (literally!) and has been teaching flute and piano privately since 2007.

Scheduling procedures

During the week before the 1st of a given month, I will send a list of dates and total lessons available, as below:
Monday (Delmar): 5 lessons (August 1, 8 15, 22, 29)
Tuesday (Schenectady): 5 lessons (August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30)
Wednesday (Niskayuna): 5 lessons (August 3, 10, 17, 24, 31)
Thursday (Niskayuna): 3 lessons (August 4, 11, 25) **I am not available on Thursday, August 18 (playing a pops concert with the Glens Falls Symphony)…I am happy to make up those lessons on a different day of that week
Friday (Schenectady): 4 lessons (August 5, 12, 19, 26)

At that time, please let me know if you have any conflicts so that we can plan to reschedule your lesson. Once you have confirmed your availability, please know that you are committed to attending lessons on those dates and times, for the entire month. You will pay for the total number of lessons scheduled at that time.

Payment

Payment is due for the entire month at the first lesson of the month, unless we have made another arrangement.

Rescheduling and cancellations

Should you be unable to attend a lesson to which you committed at the beginning of the month, I will do my best to reschedule during the week of your missed lesson, but cannot guarantee availability. If you are unable to attend a lesson and we are not able to find a mutually acceptable date and time during the week of your lesson, a credit will not be given. The only cancellations that will be credited toward a future lesson will be those due to unexpected illness.

If I need to cancel a lesson unexpectedly and we are unable to reschedule, you will be refunded/credited.

Inclement weather

I typically try to be available even during winter weather, since there's no avoiding it! However, if after school activities are cancelled for the location in which I'm scheduled to teach, that lesson will be credited to you should you choose to cancel, as it will if weather suddenly turns bad.
